Vodafone Idea Bolsters Goa Footprint with New Store

Vodafone Idea (Vi) is actively growing its retail network, most recently with the inauguration of a new store in Panjim, North Goa. The opening, which took place on Friday, September 18, 2026, was attended by Rahul Gupta, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Goa, as well as Vi’s Cluster Business Head Anand Dani and Postpaid Head for the Maharashtra and Goa circle, Vishal Sharma, as shared in a post on X by Vi News.

Expanding Retail Access

The new store is intended to provide customers in Goa with easier access to Vi’s range of telecom products and services. This move is part of a broader strategy to strengthen the company’s retail network within the state, according to the telco.

Franchise Network Growth

Alongside company-owned stores, Vi is also focused on expanding through franchise partnerships and the establishment of Mini Stores. The company currently has over 2,000 franchise partners operating in more than 600 cities across India, according to information provided by the company.

Attracting New Partners

From approximately August until recently, Vi actively promoted franchise opportunities via a Hero Banner on its official website. The banner, which has since been removed, emphasized the benefits of partnering with Vi, including brand recognition, attractive financial returns, and a quick return on investment. Vi also highlighted its commitment to providing comprehensive support to its franchise partners throughout their business journey.

Vi has also been directly informing customers about new store openings, sending SMS messages with addresses and map locations for both Vi Stores and Vi Mini Stores, with operating hours from Monday to Saturday.
