Jio’s Rs 349 Plan Edges Out Airtel With AI Benefit

India’s two major telecom providers, Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, both feature a Rs 349 prepaid plan, but a closer look reveals key differences. Both plans offer 28 days of service validity and unlimited 5G data, but the bundled benefits diverge significantly.

Jio’s Rs 349 Plan Details

Reliance Jio’s Rs 349 plan provides users with unlimited voice calling, 100 SMS messages per day, and 2GB of daily data. Beyond the standard offerings, the plan includes JioHotstar Mobile subscription, 50GB of free JioAICloud data, and a notable 18-month subscription to Google Gemini AI Pro, valued at Rs 35,100. To continue accessing the Google AI Pro benefit, subscribers must maintain a recharge of Rs 349 or higher. Unlimited 5G access is included for eligible users.

Airtel’s Rs 349 Plan Details

Bharti Airtel’s Rs 349 plan also delivers unlimited voice calls and 100 SMS messages daily, but offers a slightly lower 1.5GB of daily data. The plan bundles unlimited 5G data, though this is subject to a fair usage policy (FUP) of 300GB per 30 days. Additional benefits include a 12-month subscription to Adobe Express Premium, valued at Rs 4,000, and access to Apple Music.

Despite the similarities, TelecomTalk reports that Jio’s plan presents the better value. The Jio plan’s larger data allowance and, crucially, the substantial value of the Google Gemini AI Pro subscription outweigh the benefits offered by Airtel’s plan.
