Vivo X500 Series to Debut with MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro

Vivo has confirmed the launch of its X500 series, comprising the Vivo X500 and Vivo X500 Pro, for the Chinese market on September 21, 2026. Both devices will be powered by the recently announced MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC, a chip also slated for use in OPPO’s upcoming Find X10 series.

MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro Details

The MediaTek Dimensity 9600 Pro SoC is built on a 2nm process and features an octa-core processor configuration. It includes:

  • Three efficiency cores clocked at 3.10 GHz
  • Three performance cores clocked at 4.35 GHz
  • Two prime cores clocked at 4.55 GHz

OPPO has also announced plans to utilize the Dimensity 9600 Pro in its Find X10 Pro Max, with a launch scheduled for September 22 in China, just one day after Vivo’s X500 series debut. TelecomTalk reports that the X500 Pro is expected to support 4K video recording at 120fps with 10-bit Log.

While the initial launch is focused on China, Vivo has indicated that it will consider bringing the X500 series to other markets at a later date. It remains to be seen whether India will be among those regions.
