Vivo is moving forward with plans to bring its X Fold 6 5G foldable smartphone to the Indian market, a notable decision given that several other brands have scaled back premium device launches in the country this year due to rising component costs. The company has confirmed a launch date of October 6, 2026, for India.
Launch Date and Availability
According to tipster Abhishek Yadav on X, the Vivo X Fold 6 5G will debut in India at 12 PM on October 6, 2026. This follows a global launch scheduled for October 1, 2026, making the Indian release just five days later.
Memory and Colour Options
The phone is expected to be available in multiple configurations, including:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage
Customers will be able to choose between Prism Black and Nebula Teal colour options, Yadav claims.
Software and Durability
The Vivo X Fold 6 5G will ship with Android 17 running on top of Origin OS 7. Vivo is releasing the device globally four months after its initial launch in China.

The device is expected to maintain the same specifications as the Chinese model. Key features include:
