Xiaomi is preparing to expand its Redmi Note 17 series in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. These devices will arrive as more powerful alternatives to the already available Redmi Note 17 5G, according to Xiaomi.
Chipset Details Revealed
The company has confirmed that the Redmi Note 17 Pro will be equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 SoC, while the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 SoC. Both chipsets are designed for mid-range smartphones.
Key Features and Design
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will stand out with a unique design element: a photochromic back panel that changes colour, available exclusively in the “Secret Sunshine” colour option. Both the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max will boast an IP69K rating for dust and water resistance and will include Corning Gorilla Glass protection.
Camera and Battery
The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max will feature a dual-rear camera system, led by a 50MP primary sensor. Both phones will incorporate a square-shaped camera module on the rear. A substantial 10000mAh battery will power both devices.
Launch Date and Pricing
Xiaomi has set a launch date of September 15, 2026, for the Redmi Note 17 Pro and Note 17 Pro Max in India. Pricing details will be announced during the official unveiling event. It’s worth noting that these specifications were previously known as the phones have already launched in China and global markets.
