Bharti Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom operator, is expanding its bundled service offerings by including Amazon Prime Lite with select broadband plans, according to a recent announcement. This move follows a similar offering from Reliance Jio, unveiled as part of its 10th-year anniversary celebrations.
Plans Eligible for Amazon Prime Lite
The Amazon Prime Lite subscription will be available to customers on Airtel’s Rs 999, Rs 1199, Rs 1599, and Rs 3999 broadband plans. To access the benefit, subscribers must navigate to the ‘Rewards and OTTs’ section within the Airtel Thanks app.
What is Amazon Prime Lite?
Amazon Prime Lite provides access to Prime Video and the standard benefits associated with Amazon Prime. However, customers should be aware that the Lite version does not include the faster delivery options typically offered with a full Amazon Prime membership. The annual cost of an Amazon Prime Lite subscription is Rs 799.
Important Considerations
Airtel notes that this offer is exclusively for eligible Airtel Wi-Fi users and reserves the right to withdraw the promotion at any time. Furthermore, the offer cannot be claimed by customers who already have Amazon Prime access through another Airtel service. The subscription will be linked to the Amazon account used during the claim process; new users can create an account to take advantage of the offer. The benefit will remain active as long as the customer maintains an eligible Airtel broadband plan.
