Vivo is preparing to launch a new smartphone in India, the S2 FE 5G, and a recent listing with the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has revealed a key specification: a substantial 10000mAh battery. This detail, first reported by TelecomTalk, suggests a focus on extended battery life for the device.
Battery and Charging Details
The BIS certification confirms the Vivo S2 FE 5G will include a 10000mAh battery, coupled with support for 44W wired charging. This combination aims to provide users with both long-lasting power and relatively quick replenishment when needed.
Potential Specifications and Positioning
While Vivo has not officially announced the S2 FE 5G, speculation suggests it could be a rebranded version of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, which launched in Malaysia with the same 10000mAh battery and a Dimensity 7300e SoC. It is also expected to launch around the same time as the Vivo V80 5G, which is scheduled for release on October 6, 2026, though Vivo has not yet confirmed a launch date for the S2 FE 5G.
Other expected features, based on similarities to the Vivo S2 5G, include:
- A 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate
- A 50MP main camera on the rear
- A 32MP front-facing camera
- An in-display fingerprint sensor
However, the S2 FE 5G may differentiate itself from the S2 5G with a different processor. Analysts suggest the new model will not use the same chipset as its predecessor. Pricing is currently estimated to be under Rs 40,000 in India.
