Samsung should consider bringing back a feature lost with the Galaxy S7: the infrared (IR) blaster. Originally present on the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, the IR blaster allowed users to control home entertainment and appliance devices directly from their phones.
What is an IR Blaster?
An IR blaster essentially turns a smartphone into a universal remote control. This functionality, previously offered by Samsung, enabled users to operate devices like air conditioners, televisions, and projectors directly from their handsets. While Samsung demonstrated its capability to include this feature, it was removed from the Galaxy S7 onwards.
Why Was It Removed?
