Bharti Airtel is enhancing the value of its Rs 3,999 yearly prepaid plan with a one-time addition of 150GB of data, available for a limited period. The move comes as Airtel seeks to attract and retain prepaid subscribers in a competitive market.
Airtel Rs 3,999 Yearly Plan Details
The Rs 3,999 plan remains a prepaid unlimited offering with a daily data allowance and access to Airtel’s 5G network. Here’s a breakdown of the plan’s core benefits:
- Daily Data: 2.5GB of high-speed data per day
- Unlimited 5G: Access to unlimited 5G data in areas covered by Airtel’s 5G network, on top of the daily allowance.
- Voice Calls: Unlimited local and STD calls
- SMS: 100 SMS messages per day
- Validity: 365 days
- Effective Price: Approximately Rs 10.96 per day
- Additional Data: 150GB bulk data, valid for 365 days and separate from the daily data limit.
Airtel notes that the 150GB data bonus is a limited-time promotion. Data speeds will be reduced to up to 64 Kbps after the daily 2.5GB quota is used. SMS charges apply after the daily limit of 100 messages is reached, at Re 1 for local SMS and Rs 1.5 for STD SMS.
Beyond the core connectivity benefits, the plan also includes:
- Adobe Express Premium: 12 months of free access, valued at around Rs 4,000.
- Airtel Safe: Real-time spam call alerts, fraud-link blocking, and protection against OTP-led bank fraud.
- HelloTunes: Free access to set one tune every 30 days.
Jio’s Competing Offer
This move by Airtel follows a similar promotion from Reliance Jio, which recently added benefits to its Rs 3,599 annual plan as part of its tenth-anniversary celebrations. Jio’s offer includes 120GB of bonus data (10GB per month for 12 months) and 12 vouchers for JioTV Pro, providing access to over 1,000 TV channels, according to the company.
