Xiaomi is preparing to expand its Redmi Note 17 series presence in India with the launch of the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G. The company has officially confirmed a launch date of September 15, 2026, for the two devices.
The upcoming series builds on the existing Redmi Note 17 5G, which is already available for purchase in the Indian market. A key feature of both the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G will be their substantial battery capacity, with the series packing up to a 10000mAh battery, according to Xiaomi.
Xiaomi claims the large battery will allow for up to four days of usage on a single charge. The phones will be sold through Amazon India. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max 5G has been teased as featuring a dual-rear camera setup.
According to Xiaomi, the Indian versions of the phones are not expected to differ in specifications from the Chinese models. With the addition of the Pro and Pro Max variants, the Redmi Note 17 series will consist of three devices in India: the Redmi Note 17, the Redmi Note 17 Pro, and the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max.
