In continuation to our previous infographic on tubelights: Types of tubelights available in Indian Market and their power consumption, here is another infographic that highlights the 2 types of ballasts that are available to work with tubelights. The Electromagnetic Ballast is the one with which a tubelight flickers. It also needs a choke. It consumes more than 15 watts of power. The Electronic Ballast is the most efficient ballast that consumes just 2-3 watts. The tubelight does not flicker when used with electronic ballast.
