Vodafone Idea’s enterprise division, Vi Business, is collaborating with Cisco to accelerate the digital transformation of enterprise networks across India. The partnership focuses on delivering secure and high-performing networking solutions, particularly through the deployment of Hybrid SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network) technology.
Rapid Growth in India’s SD-WAN Market
The collaboration comes as the Indian SD-WAN market experiences significant expansion. Industry estimates project the market will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20.5% reaching USD 14.6 billion by 2031, highlighting the increasing demand for agile and efficient network infrastructure.
Hybrid SD-WAN Powered by Cisco Meraki
Vi Business has been offering Hybrid SD-WAN services for several years, and this partnership builds on that foundation. The solution is powered by Cisco Meraki, leveraging its single dashboard for simplified management of SD-WAN, application-aware routing, and integrated security features, including built-in Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. Vi Business provides the underlying nationwide connectivity, offering a fully managed service with proactive monitoring and support.
Benefits for Enterprises
The Hybrid SD-WAN solution is designed to eliminate the need for large upfront capital investments, allowing businesses to scale their networking capabilities as needed. The service-based model provides a unified experience with a single point of contact for enterprises. According to M P Sunil Kumar, Chief Enterprise Business Officer at Vodafone Idea Limited, the partnership will enable clients to build resilient, scalable, and future-ready networks by integrating cloud-managed SD-WAN, wired and wireless networking, and built-in security.
Ashok Shivashankar, Managing Director, Partner Organization, Cisco India & South Asia, said the collaboration will help enterprises modernize their networks, enabling greater agility, scalability, and operational efficiency in an increasingly AI-driven world.
