Apple has quietly adjusted pricing for the iPhone 17 in India following the launch of the iPhone 18 Pro models. Contrary to expectations of a price decrease with the newer model’s arrival, the iPhone 17 now costs more, a move attributed to increasing memory component costs.
iPhone 17 Pricing Details
The price adjustments affect both storage variants of the iPhone 17:
- The 256GB model has increased from Rs 82,900 to Rs 99,900.
- The 512GB model has seen a price increase from Rs 1,04,500 to Rs 1,24,900.
The iPhone 17 is available in Lavender, Mist Blue, White, Sage, and Black colour options. These price changes are now in effect, though retailers may still offer the device at discounted rates.
Specifications Remain Unchanged
The iPhone 17 retains its existing specifications, including a 120Hz ProMotion display and an upgraded 48MP camera sensor. It continues to be available for purchase through e-commerce platforms such as Flipkart and Amazon India, as well as directly from Apple’s online and retail stores. Apple Care+ is available for those purchasing directly from Apple. The device includes a charging cable in the box, but a separate charging brick must be purchased.
This price increase places Apple alongside other smartphone manufacturers like Samsung, Vivo, and OPPO who have also recently adjusted iPhone pricing, as Tim Cook previously indicated a price hike was likely. The iPhone 18 has not yet been launched.
