Apple is making a significant foray into the foldable smartphone market with the launch of the iPhone Duo in India. Marking the company’s first attempt in this category, the device arrives with a predictably premium price tag.
iPhone Duo: Pricing and Availability
The iPhone Duo will be available in four storage configurations:
- 256GB: Rs 2,99,900
- 512GB: Rs 3,24,900
- 1TB: Rs 3,74,900
- 2TB: Rs 4,49,900
Customers can choose between two colour options: Star White and Night Sky. A bank offer providing Rs 7,000 off will be available with select cards. Pre-orders begin on October 16, 2026, at 5:30 PM IST, with general availability starting on October 23, 2026.
Key Specifications and Features
The iPhone Duo boasts a unique form factor with a 5.4-inch outer display and a larger 7.6-inch inner display. Apple has incorporated a nano-texture coating on the inner display to minimise glare and reduce the visibility of the crease. The device weighs 254 grams.
Under the hood, the iPhone Duo is powered by the A20 Pro chip and supports C2 5G connectivity. Notably, Apple is bringing back Touch ID, integrated into the side of the device. The iPhone Duo will also support Apple Pencil, which will charge via USB-C.
Several additional features set the iPhone Duo apart. An Apple Watch can be used to unlock the device, and the software is expected to be highly optimised for the foldable form factor. All essential controls are positioned on the side for ease of access. The iPhone Duo is eSIM only and features dual batteries, providing up to 24 hours of usage on a single charge, with a 50% charge achievable in 20 minutes.
The camera system includes a 48MP Fusion main sensor paired with a 12MP 2x telephoto sensor. Selfies are handled by a 12MP front camera with Center Stage functionality, and a new FaceTime camera is integrated into the inner display.
