Vivo has officially announced that the V80 5G will be available to Indian consumers starting October 6, 2026. The device, which has already been released in international markets, is expected to carry the same specifications as its global counterpart.
ZEISS-Engineered Camera System
A key feature of the Vivo V80 5G is its camera system, developed in collaboration with ZEISS. Vivo has historically focused the V series on delivering strong camera performance, and the V80 5G continues this trend. The phone boasts a triple camera setup on the rear, including:
- A 50MP ZEISS Night Telephoto sensor
- A 50MP ZEISS OIS main camera
- A ZEISS ultra-wide angle sensor
For selfies, the V80 5G incorporates a 50MP front-facing sensor, also from ZEISS. The camera supports optical image stabilization (OIS), 4K video recording at 60fps, and ZEISS 85mm and 100mm portrait modes, as well as 4K cinematic video capture.
Display and Performance
The Vivo V80 5G features a 6.59-inch OLED display with a peak brightness of 5000nits and a refresh rate of up to 144Hz. The display also supports a 1.5K resolution and is surrounded by symmetrical bezels measuring just 1.25mm in thickness.
Battery and Software
Powering the device is a substantial 7200mAh battery, marking the largest battery capacity ever featured in a Vivo V series phone. The phone supports 90W FlashCharge for rapid power replenishment. It is expected to launch with Origin OS 7, based on Android 17. The Vivo V80 5G will reportedly be available in Sunrise Anthem, Horizon Blue, and Stellar Black colour options.
Vivo positions the V80 5G in the premium segment of the Indian smartphone market, according to the company’s announcement.
