OPPO, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer, is increasing prices on multiple devices sold in India, a move driven by global increases in the cost of DRAM and other components. The price adjustments, first noted by Sanju Choudhary, range from Rs 1,000 to Rs 4,000 across the affected models.
Price Adjustments by Model
The most significant price increases are being applied to the OPPO Reno 16c. Here’s a breakdown of the revised pricing:
- 8GB + 128GB: Increased from Rs 49,999 to Rs 52,999
- 8GB + 256GB: Increased from Rs 53,999 to Rs 57,999
- 12GB + 256GB: Increased from Rs 59,999 to Rs 62,999
The OPPO A6 5G is also seeing price adjustments. The new pricing is as follows:
- 4GB + 128GB: Increased from Rs 28,999 to Rs 29,999
- 6GB + 128GB: Increased from its launch price to Rs 31,999
- 6GB + 256GB: Increased from its launch price to Rs 35,999
More affordable models are also affected. The OPPO A6c receives a uniform price increase of Rs 1,000 across all variants:
- 4GB + 64GB: Now priced at Rs 18,999
- 4GB + 128GB: Now priced at Rs 19,999
Finally, the OPPO A6x 5G (4GB + 64GB variant) has increased in price from Rs 18,999 to Rs 19,999.
OPPO has previously adjusted pricing to account for increasing global component costs, and this latest move reflects the continued pressure on smartphone manufacturers to offset rising expenses. The updated prices are currently visible on the official OPPO India website.
