Redmi 17C 5G Arrives in India with Dimensity 6300

Xiaomi has expanded its Redmi series in India with the launch of the Redmi 17C 5G. Following its initial release in Singapore in August, the device brings a 6.9-inch display and MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset to the Indian market.

Pricing and Availability

The Redmi 17C 5G will be available for purchase in India starting October 7, 2026. It will be sold through Amazon India, mi.com, and offline retail partners. Two variants are offered:

  • 4GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs 20,999
  • 6GB RAM + 128GB storage: Rs 22,999

Customers can choose from three colour options: Purple Dawn, Dark Night, and a Coffee Brown variant featuring a textured vegan leather back.

Key Specifications

The Redmi 17C 5G features a 6.9-inch LCD display with an adaptive 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels (HD+). Powering the phone is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC, fabricated on a 6nm process. The device supports up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and comes with 128GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, expandable via a microSD card slot up to 1TB.

A 6000mAh battery provides power, with support for 33W fast-charging; a 33W adapter is included in the box. The phone also supports 10W reverse wired charging. For photography, the Redmi 17C 5G has a 50MP main camera on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls. The device ships with HyperOS 3 pre-installed.

The Redmi 17C 5G has a basic design, incorporating a teardrop notch for the front-facing camera and a dual-camera setup on the rear.
