Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, the leading telecom operators in India, both provide a broadband plan priced at Rs 699. While the cost is identical, the services offered diverge considerably, catering to different user priorities.
Reliance Jio’s Rs 699 Plan: Focus on Speed
Reliance Jio’s Rs 699 plan prioritises internet speed, delivering access at 100 Mbps for both download and upload. The plan includes bundled voice calling and unlimited data, though high-speed data usage is capped at 3.3TB per month for commercial applications. The total cost, including GST, is Rs 699 + GST. This plan offers a straightforward internet experience without additional entertainment subscriptions.
Bharti Airtel’s Rs 699 Plan: Entertainment and More
Bharti Airtel’s Rs 699 plan takes a different approach, offering a slightly slower speed of 40 Mbps for both download and upload. However, it compensates with a substantial bundle of over-the-top (OTT) benefits. Subscribers gain access to 22+ OTT services, including JioHotstar, ZEE5, Xstream Play, Adobe Express Premium, and a Google One subscription. The plan also includes access to more than 350 live TV channels. Like Jio, the final cost includes GST. Voice calling is also provided, but users must purchase a landline instrument separately.
Essentially, Reliance Jio provides a faster connection for those who primarily need bandwidth, while Bharti Airtel bundles a wider range of entertainment options alongside its internet service. According to TelecomTalk, the choice between the two depends on individual consumer needs and preferences.
