Bharti Airtel, India’s second-largest telecom operator, is adding value to its postpaid offerings by including Apple iCloud+ subscriptions with select plans. The move, announced by Airtel, aims to incentivise customers to remain with the network and potentially upgrade to higher-value plans.
iCloud+ Benefits Included
The bundled iCloud+ subscription will be available to Airtel postpaid users on plans costing Rs 999 or more. This provides access to features beyond basic iCloud storage, as Apple recently enhanced iCloud+ with the addition of Apple TV and Apple Arcade. Apple TV is Apple’s over-the-top video platform offering a range of TV shows and movies, while Apple Arcade is a gaming subscription service with exclusive titles.
Postpaid Focus & Plan Options
This offer is exclusively for postpaid subscribers; prepaid Airtel customers will not receive the iCloud+ benefit. However, postpaid users on lower-tier plans can upgrade to a qualifying plan – Rs 999 or higher – through the Airtel Thanks app or by visiting an Airtel store.
iCloud+ Pricing & Value
The standard iCloud+ plan typically costs Rs 75 per month in India and includes 50GB of cloud storage, in addition to access to Apple TV and Apple Arcade. Airtel’s bundling represents a significant value add for its postpaid customers, who also benefit from Fastlane network access.
