India’s top telecom providers, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone Idea (Vi), both offer a premium Rs 3999 prepaid plan designed for users seeking long-term connectivity. Available across all telecom circles in India, the plans share a one-year validity but diverge in the specific benefits they provide.
Airtel’s Rs 3999 Offering
The Bharti Airtel Rs 3999 plan provides users with unlimited voice calling, 2.5GB of daily data, and a substantial 150GB of bulk data. The plan’s 365-day service validity is complemented by 100 SMS messages per day and access to unlimited 5G data. Notably, Airtel sweetens the deal with a 12-month subscription to Adobe Express Premium, valued at Rs 4,000, and free Hellotunes.
Vodafone Idea’s Rs 3999 Plan
Vodafone Idea’s Rs 3999 prepaid plan also features unlimited voice calling and a 365-day validity, but offers a slightly lower daily data allowance of 2GB. The plan includes 1GB of data for international roaming, alongside 50 minutes of both outgoing and incoming international calls, and unlimited SMS for a period of five days – all claimable through the Vi app.
OTT and Additional Benefits
Vi’s plan distinguishes itself with a broader range of Over-The-Top (OTT) benefits. Subscribers gain access to Amazon Prime, half-day unlimited data between 12 AM and 12 PM, and a one-year subscription to JioHotstar Mobile. A Weekend Data Rollover facility is also included, and users can claim up to 2GB of backup data each month via the Vi app at no extra cost.
While both plans offer unlimited 5G data, analysis suggests Vi leads in OTT benefits, while Airtel provides a stronger data allowance, particularly in terms of 4G data.
