Google has launched the Fitbit Air in India, positioning it as a more affordable alternative to the Whoop 5. The device, which lacks a display, focuses on comprehensive health tracking features and is priced at Rs 13,999.
Key Features and Pricing
The Fitbit Air offers a range of health monitoring capabilities, including:
- 24/7 heart rate monitoring, with additional heart rhythm tracking
- Atrial fibrillation (AFib) alerts
- Blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking
- Resting heart rate monitoring
- Heart rate variability (HRV) tracking
- Sleep-stage tracking
As an introductory offer, customers can purchase the Fitbit Air for Rs 12,999, a Rs 1,000 discount from the standard price. The device also includes a 3-month subscription to Google Health Premium, with ongoing subscriptions available for Rs 99 per month or Rs 999 per year.
Competitive Landscape
The Whoop 5, a competing fitness tracker, is currently priced at Rs 21,990 in India. While the Whoop 5 offers advanced features and a longer battery life of 14+ days with fast charging, Google is aiming to capture a wider audience with the Fitbit Air’s more accessible price point. Whoop also provides tracking of over 160 behaviors through its app, including dietary habits and sleep patterns.
Availability and Colours
The Google Fitbit Air will be available for purchase starting October 2, 2026, in four colour options: Obsidian, Berry, Lavender, and Fog. Jio users may also be eligible for 18 months of Google AI Pro, which includes a Google Health Premium subscription. ICICI and HDFC Bank credit card holders can avail of an additional Rs 1,000 cashback on 6-month No-Cost EMI transactions.
