Reliance Jio is preparing for its Initial Public Offering (IPO) through its parent company, Jio Platforms, a move highly anticipated by the Indian stock exchanges. While Reliance Industries has not officially confirmed a launch date, reports indicate the IPO is targeted for early November 2026, specifically around November 2nd.
Value Unlock for Reliance Shareholders
The listing of Jio Platforms is designed to unlock value for existing shareholders of Reliance Industries Limited (RIL). RIL shareholders will receive complimentary shares in Jio Platforms once the IPO is complete. This separation of businesses is also expected to allow Jio Platforms to attract further investment from the market.
Currently, investment in Jio is tied to Reliance Industries, a diversified conglomerate. A standalone listing will provide investors with a more focused opportunity to invest directly in Jio’s operations.
IPO Details and Valuation
Analysts predict the Jio IPO share price will fall within a band of Rs 1350 to Rs 1450. The company aims to raise approximately Rs 37,700 crore through the offering. Following the listing, Jio Platforms is expected to have a valuation in the range of $130-170 billion USD, according to analysts.
Beyond Telecom: Jio’s Growth Strategy
Reliance Jio’s growth has been driven by its core telecom services, but the company is actively expanding into new areas. Jio is now focusing on data centers and Artificial Intelligence (AI) as key growth drivers. Additionally, the company is working to establish a presence in the B2B telecom gear market.
Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries Limited, initially announced plans to list Jio Platforms publicly in the first half of 2026.
