DoorDash Establishes Hyderabad Hub, Targeting 3000 Jobs

DoorDash is significantly expanding its operations in India with the opening of a new global technology and operations hub in Hyderabad. The company intends to create approximately 3,000 jobs across the country within the next two years, building on existing technology work already underway.

Expanding Global Footprint

The Hyderabad office represents DoorDash’s first presence in the city and will begin with an initial team of around 500 employees. These first hires will focus on Customer Experience and Integrity (CXI) alongside general and administrative roles. DoorDash intends for the Hyderabad hub to serve as an internal CXI service hub globally, complementing existing facilities in Tempe, Arizona and Mexico City.

Building on Existing Indian Operations

This move strengthens DoorDash’s technology and operations network within India. The company already maintains a technology office in Pune, where teams work on software development, data analysis, and related functions. DoorDash’s presence in India was further bolstered by the 2021 acquisition of robotics startup Chowbotics.

Phased Growth and Support

DoorDash plans a phased approach to building the 3,000-person workforce over the two-year period, starting with the initial 500 employees. The Hyderabad hub will provide support to customers, merchants, and delivery personnel across DoorDash’s various markets. The new facility is expected to create opportunities in customer operations, corporate functions, and other areas as it scales.
