The NetACT OSS5.1 Engineer’s role involves NetACT OSS5.1 platform and also OAM activities.
Responsibilities:
- Managing backup of NetAct platform
- Fault Management administration; ensure smooth alarm-flow from the Network Elements
- Performance Management administration; ensure that no report from Network Elements is missed
- Monitoring oracle database. Ensure it does not exceed the limits provided in the O&M procedures.
- Proper user and user rights administration
- Ensure NetAct hardware is functioning properly.
- CD and CD Set installation
- Providing emergency support
- Sound knowledge of HP-UX and oracle
- Troubleshooting NWI3 related issues

- Installation of NetAct hardware
- Powering-up the NetAct platform
- S/W installation
- DCN connectivity with the Network Elements
- Integration with the Network Elements
